The South Florida Chapters of PMI (Project Management Institute) and HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) are proud to announce our first joint Dinner event on the evening of June 4th featuring a panel discussion focused on "Leadership in Health Care". With the continued political focus and press surrounding our need to transform the delivery of Health Care while continuing to stretch our Health Care dollar further, we felt it was time we deliver a program to better educate our constituents about the challenges, and emerging opportunities facing this key industry sector.

Fernando Martinez, Chief Technology and Security Officer of Broward Health, was announced as the Southeast’s Information Security Executive of the Year in front of his peers during the gala ceremony on Thursday evening. The judges were impressed with his vision for the future, ability to drive change and deliver results, and his information security mentoring in the community.
